Our Vision 
The fascination of music combined with new ideas, which Mozart embodies in a unique way, remains alive at the place of his most productive and creative period – the only surviving Viennese apartment of Mozart – and is carried from here to the whole world. At this authentic site of music history, our visitors can experience the genius and free spirit of Mozart in his multifaceted dimensions and become part of his world.

Our Mission 
Every day anew, we want to present Mozart's life and work in Vienna in a contemporary, experience-oriented way and at a high level that is accessible to all, and to connect the greatness of Mozart's musical vision with the themes of our time. 
We make Mozart's attitude our own. This stands above all for three things that we actively embody and communicate at Mozarthaus Vienna:

• Mozart wanted to entertain. His music is for us the vehicle to bring people into contact with Mozart's personality.

That is why Mozarthaus Vienna's repertoire includes not only a presentation of his life and work, but also concerts and other events.

• Mozart wanted to educate – himself and others.

From this, we also derive our mission as an educational institution at Mozarthaus Vienna, passing on knowledge about Mozart through numerous cultural mediation programs. We connect with other Mozart knowledge holders to ensure the best possible comprehensive exchange of knowledge for the best possible work.

• Mozart wanted to connect. We want to create an innovative connection between history and the present with both intellectual and commercial ambition. That is why we offer Mozart's guests from all over the world an incomparable experience and honor his work, his life, and his values.

Mozart can be experienced in many ways. We convey his work, his personality, and his world through historical documents as well as modern techniques and creative, methodological approaches. To this end, we want to be the number one address for Mozart in Vienna.

We want to make Mozart's values our own as a professional team and place at the center of our work his fundamental culture of striving for growth and the desire to convey what is good, authentic, and beautiful with great dedication and emotion – work that is defined by the highest quality standards combined with easily accessible offerings. 

For Mozart, music is also a vehicle for humanist thought. In Austria, the ideas of the Enlightenment were carried with particular force through the medium of music. Mozart stands for values such as freedom, equality, and tolerance – these elements run through his entire work and offer us guidance. The language with which he wanted to express his convictions was music: a language the whole world understands and that includes everyone.
